Why it is set up this way
Schools, districts, courts, agencies, benefits offices. Every one of them assumes a person our communities are not, and every one of them has to be dealt with regardless. Community work at QRS means helping people get through that, alongside them rather than on their behalf.
What that looks like right now
That list is what the work is today. It is not a permanent programme menu, and it was not arrived at by consensus.
QRS is being restructured so a community governance body holds binding authority over programming: what runs, where, for whom, and what gets added or dropped. Seats are held entirely by members of the communities QRS serves. What community work becomes is theirs to decide, not ours.
In the meantime, the consulting side is live. It is the half that pays for all of this.
